Obituary for Joseph Hanek
Joseph Hanek, born May 13, 1944, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, at the age of 80. Joseph was the beloved eldest son of Emily and Miroslav Hanek and cherished sibling to Miroslav, Jaroslav and Sonia.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Susan and their four children: Jacqui, Belinda, Amy and Daniel. Joseph was a proud and loving Grandfather to Paige, Xanthia, Lucien, Julius, Raphael and Hugo.
A man of many passions, Joseph found joy in fishing, nurturing his garden and ardently supporting the Western Bulldogs. He was known for his vast knowledge on a wide array of subjects and his spirited debates on politics. His dedication to his work was unwavering, continuing to contribute until his 80th year, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and workmates.
Joseph's presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He was a pillar of strength, wisdom and love in his family's life. His legacy of kindness, intelligence and devotion will endure in the hearts of his loved ones.
