Our amazing matriarch has passed on. Barbara was the loved wife of Joseph (dec) and the adored mother and mother-in-law of Nick and Robyn, Brad and Joan, Shelley and Rob, Deborah and Christian, Daniel and Jane, and NannaHanna of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara was a woman ahead of her time – self-determined and did not allow stereotypes to impede her ambitions, achieving a successful career in Theatre, Radio, Television and Film.
Her greatest love was her family.
A fine Englishwoman to admire.
A family farewell will be held in the future. Barbara’s family acknowledge the extended support and care provided by staff at Queen Victoria Home, Lindisfarne.
