The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
HANSON, Barry.
We write this to you Dad (Pop) as the tears roll down our faces A part of us just died tonight, a part we can't replace They called us to your bedside it was time for you to fly How do you fit a life time into a five minute goodbye We sat to watch you drift away into an eternal sleep The memories they cannot take they're ours for us to keep We can still recall your every word many times they've been replayed We're scared where they will take us We're scared they'll one day fade We miss you so much Dad (Pop) more than words can tell We will look after Mum (Nan) We promise you we will keep her safe and well
