HAYES, Leslie James

HAYES. - Leslie James. Les passed away on Aug. 24, 2001, aged 81 years. Les leaves Nance, his loving companion and wife of 60 years, daughters Beverley and Christine, and much loved grandchildren Olivia, Emma, Cassie, Mark, Jodi, Kelly, Stacey and Chad. Les' death reunites him with his daughter Marlene, sister Chrissie, brothers Bill and Albert, and parents Harriet and William Hayes. As much loved patriarch in the extended Hayes, Eltringham, Nicholls, Mackie-Coop, Preston, Salmon and Steele families, Dad will be greatly missed on high days and holidays and when we need an "expert on the case." Dad's wonderful commitment to Mum and the family, his values, great sense of humor, endless curiosity and respect for knowledge, generosity and total devotion to our security and well being is a legacy we'll all treasure and pass on.
