The SA Football Commission and SANFL are saddened by the passing of South Australian Football Hall of Fame member Neville Hayes.

Neville played 217 League matches for Port Adelaide between 1953 and 1965 and a remarkable eight premierships.

Representing SA on 21 occasions, he was awarded SANFL Player Life Membership upon his retirement in 1966.

Neville will be remembered for his tremendous service and contribution to the Port Adelaide Football Club and football in SA.

On behalf of Chairman The Hon Rob Kerin, CEO Darren Chandler, the SA Football Commission and SANFL, we extend our deepest sympathy to the Hayes family.
