A most generous, kind, witty, stubborn, and loving friend, that embodied stoicism, integrity, and a fighting spirit to the end.
Darling Pete,
The sadness has well and truly set in, and shows no signs of abating. However, when I think of you, I look at your comforting words below, and alas, I smile!

Goodnight my very best friend
I’m sure you will see me to the very end
We play on a chessboard I am the knight
You are the castle and we have a great fight
It’s only a game
But we play all the same
As you rush out to catch your tram
You make me feel I am damned
Sleep well tonight my very best friend
And may your dreams have a very good end.
