Passed away unexpectedly in Toowoomba. Beloved husband of Jenny (dec’d), loving father of Sonia and Meredith, cherished father-in-law of Ron and Josh, adored grandfather of five treasured grandchildren Isabel, Camille, Ruben, Allegra and Ivette. Brother to Gai, brother-in-law and uncle to many.

There are no words to describe just how much we love you, Dad and precious Ga. Always supportive, loving, there whenever we needed help, an absolute rock and mentor to us all. We will miss your daily visits, chats and laughter. The time spent together and special moments shared will be in our hearts forever. We love you so very much. Sonia, Ron, Isabel, Camille and Ruben xxxx

Our precious, dearly loved and adored Dad and Ga you are, and always will be, in our hearts. Always kind and generous, extremely clever, reassuring and there for us. Thank you for inspiring us to have an inquiring mind and love of infinite possibilities. We miss your bear hugs, tickles, wise words and warm smile so much. Meredith, Josh, Allegra and Ivette xxxx

Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Gai and Max, uncle to David and Heather, Stephanie and Tony, and families. Without a doubt the smartest person we have known or are ever likely to meet, who treated everyone with respect and was given over to a wicked sense of humour. A hero to us. Gai, Max, David, Stephanie and families.

Much loved brother-in-law of Dawn and Rod, fond uncle of Leanne and Malcolm, Carolyn and Ashley, Deborah and Jason, and families. We will miss our enjoyable phone chats and cherish the memories of special family celebrations over many years. Deepest sympathy to Sonia and Ron, Meredith and Josh, and their families. Rest peacefully dear Hugh.

Our wonderful brother-in-law and uncle.

A dedicated family man; a pioneering scientist and geologist

Always learning, always teaching, and always available.

You inspired us with your infectious curiosity,

calmed us with your patience, and always made us laugh.

Deepest sympathy to Sonia, Meredith and families.

Our treasured memories will last forever.

Neville, Jenny, Michael, Iva, Andrew, Jess and Claire.
