Death notice for

HOLLOWAY, Graeme.

Publication: The Mercury
Date Listed: 23/2/2019
Location: Sandy Bay

We regret the sad passing of Graeme, he will be remembered as an outstanding achiever by his tennis mates. He continued the Holloway tennis dynasty started by his father, Viv, at Creek Road in the 1950’s. As an administrator he worked hard at Southern, State and National levels. He was a member of the Tennis Australia Board for many years, and a life member of the Domain Tennis Club. As a player Graeme represented the State as a junior and senior, he was Southern number 1 in the triangular series, played in Tasmania’s only winning national masters team, and played Southern A Grade pennant for many years. Graeme was a man on a mission when he walked onto the tennis court. There was no gamesmanship or doubtful calls, his fierce determination had him focus solely on winning but always as a good sport and with maybe a couple of tantrums. His strengths were his backhand and his ability to run anything down. Sincere sympathy to family. From Tits (Barry) and Awful Jon.
