The Scotch Family mourns the death of Rob Hortin. An Old Geelong Grammarian who rowed in the winning 1974 GGS crew, Rob joined Scotch in 1981 as a PE and English teacher. He taught History and Geography, was Head of Bond House for 11 years and in McMeckan Boarding House for three years. Rob coached crews including Scotch's 1st VIII (1989-90), and high jump. Twice TIC of Basketball, he led overseas tours and for 25 years edited basketball's newsletter, Great Shot. He was involved in Cadets. Laconic, humorous and decent, Rob inspired many students before retiring in 2019.
Scotch extends its sympathies to Jennifer, Victor ('12), Emma, Rex ('16) and their families.
