The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
To Hobart’s parks, in the yellow sunbird of glee, Pop would take us, my brother, cousins and me.
On Kirra Beach we’d run and play,
With lollies sweet, he’d make our day.
His jokes, though old, would make us smile, Repeating them, mile after mile.
A gentle soul, so kind and true,
No one like Pop, we ever knew.
An honourable man, in every way,
In our hearts, he’ll always stay.
“See you in my dreams”
With love always Louise, Dani, Lucia and Ivy, Andrew, Bec, Ava,Audrey and Georgia
