After a four year battle with cancer, Joan passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on 25 March 2020 at the Mater Misericordiae, Rockhampton.

Loved Wife of Russell Anderson (deceased), loving Mother to Dean and Mitchell, Grammy to Thomas, Mother/Grandmother of the heart to Marie and Leesa, Sister to David and Doreen.

A private service was held for Joan on Monday 30 March 2020 at Finlayson & McKenzie for close family and friends to say their farewell to Joan.

The family have requested that no flowers be sent to the house and instead encourage donations to be made on behalf of Joan to either Shining a light on lung cancer - through the Lung Cancer Foundation or RSPCA Qld
