Joy passed away on Friday 3 August, 2018. Aged 87 years

Joy was loved by all who met her. Born in Sydney in 1931, Joy spent her early years living in Townsville and spent many years living in the eastern states caring for her three children. Joy cared for her elderly mother for over ten years and following Nan's death in 1990, Joy returned to Townsville and reunited with her extended family and many friends.

Joy was a founding member of Queensland's Sporting Wheelies and was an active member of the Country Women's Association in North Queensland for many years.

Joy is sadly missed by her children Bill, Mal and Rae, Bill's wife Carmel, her grandsons, her great grandson, Lucille and her children, her nieces and nephews, and her many friends.  She leaves us rich in memories.
