Late of Banora Point and earlier Burleigh Heads and Wyrallah. Passed away peacefully at John Flynn Hospital, aged 88 years.

Loving wife of Edmund. Sister to John and Anne Hughes. Mother to Patrick, Mary, Anthony, Michael and Timothy. Grandma and great-grandma to twenty nine adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary was joint Citizen of the Year for the Lismore district for her contributions to music education. She was an active and valued participant in a range of community organizations and activities, especially including her participation in Church life.

Her passing will leave a hole in the lives of the many who she touched with her love, compassion and generosity.
