We salute our amazing mother Viv.
Aged 93, after a brief time in care, Mum died peacefully and in comfort at home.
In recent days we were lucky to be with Viv to say ‘thanks’ and ‘we love you Mum’.
She and our Dad Laurie (dec 2001) gave all of us 9 children unrivalled opportunities in life and fostered a wonderful family environment, be it at The Ridge or their paradise ‘Tibooburra’ in the Yarra Valley.
A remarkable and generous matriarch Mum has ensured their focus on family, teamwork and fun has reached her 35 grandchildren and at last count, 40 great grandchildren.
Mum followed in Laurie’s footsteps as a Carlton champion as the Blues’ No 1 female ticket holder. She cheered and sponsored Carlton stars for over 75 years!
Viv loved supporting local sport, charities, churches and schools.
She was a life member of the Angus Society.
At this sad time we remember fondly Laurie and our sisters Louise (dec. 2023) and Penny (dec. 2015).
Our sincere thanks to Dr Jane Crowe and Viv’s terrific team of nurses and carers from Luxe Care and Prestige.
