KIVELOS. - Tom, Apr. 2, 1999. Your suffering has now ended The memories we shared will be in my heart forever Rest in peace, my loving husband - Gloria. Dad, you were going so well, although you had been through so much in the past six months. It started with test after test, it all seemed so long. I kept pushing and pushing you, kept trying to help you through your treatment and your pain. Then it was time to come home, you were so happy. You started to eat more and more each day, until you returned to hospital for the operation. Again, I was back by your side, pushing you to keep going, pushing you to get better. I watched you slowly recover, I watched you start to mend. It had been a long road, but finally youmade it to rehabilitation. I told you "No more hospitals after this Dad, it's the last one, this is the place to build your strength up". All you kept saying was "Yes love, okay love, I will do it". But it was not to be, was it Dad? Your life has come to an end, an end of an era for you, but not for me. I will have memories of you forever - all the things you told me and advised me on, little things, big things, important things and not-so-important things. I always listened, but not really. Now it is all flowing back and sinking in. Thoughts that will remain forever with me. Don't worry Dad, I will look after everybody for you, everything we talked about, I will do it for you. Love always Daddy - Your little big girl, Julie. Dad, you had a heart of gold. You will always be remembered and will always be in our hearts. We will love and remember you and forever keep you near. Until we meet again - Your loving daughter Gail, son-in-law Steve andgrand- children Rea, Tom and George. Dearest Dad, I came to live with you when I was only six months old. You opened your heart and hands to a child who was not yours. You loved her dearly and was very proud of her. I remember when I was young, I would wait at the door for you to come home from work. As soon as you arrived, I would rush and get your slippers, take off your shoes, then put your slippers on. I would then sit on your knee and hug you. I also remember watching you, fascinated, while you would shave. You would put shaving cream on my nose and tickle me. I could never have asked for a father like you, you were there for me through good times and bad. All the memories I have of you are the best memories anybody could ask for. Oh Dad, I am going to miss you, especially the way you would pat my head everytime I saw you. The love I have for you is the strongest and it will never rest in this world and the next. Forever Yours Love - Your baby Lydia. Tom Kivelos was a man who shone with both power and kindness.
