LACEY. - Sr Mary CSB. Mary entered eternal life on Sept. 25, 2010 in her 62nd year as a professed Brigidine Sister. Many of her years as a Brigidine were spent in country Victoria and in latter years her beloved Beechworth. Mary's love of teaching and the God of her life, drew her to the Brigidines, where she continued to develop young people in their faith and life skills. A much loved and respected woman, her gentleness and love of life were matched by a gifted administrative ability, always tempered by a deep respect for individual persons. Mary's last years of ill health never diminished her clarity of mind and deeply articulated faith. May she rest in the peace and joy of her God - Victorian Province of Brigidine Sisters. Sr Mary Lacey, much loved member of the Brigidine Community, Beechworth peacefully passed away on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Monash Medical Centre. We farewell a gentle, gracious, contemplative woman able to blend a warm compassion for others with a practical and down to earth approach to life. Sincere thanks to the staff at Corpus Christi and Joy Groenewegen for their loving care and support of Mary in recent months. Now you see your God face to face - Alexia and Elizabeth, Maria and Sue.
