Mike Lepper was born in 1927 in Epsom, Surrey, England, moving to Brisbane with his family in 1950. At age 28, Mike married his wife Desley Bolton whom he met through their shared love of bushwalking, stories of which he enjoyed regaling. Mike had a brilliant mind, training as an industrial chemist, and as was his wish since 1965, donating his body after death to the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Queensland. Mike had a passion for both reading & collecting books, gifting many of his precious finds to his family throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed researching family history, and until recently was an avid woodworker & gardener. Mike will be profoundly missed.
Many thanks to all at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and to the para-medic who most recently attended upon him.
A private celebration of Mike Lepper’s life has been held.
