LYNETTE MARGARET LEAHY AGED 76 YEARS BACHELOR OF ARTS 1982 ~ EX-REHABILITATION COUNSELLOR Lyn died on Friday 1st February, 2019. A private cremation will be held as per her wishes. Lyn experienced much sadness in her early life with the deaths of her brothers Donald, Daniel and Michael in their early adulthood and her parents Gus - and her very much loved Mum Ruby. Lyn was a happy, strong, determined and independent person who enjoyed her many travels throughout the world and loved experiencing other cultures. She had a good 12 months pain free. She was resilient and without complaint throughout this time. She lived an eventful life that we can all look back on fondly and you know that she would want her life to be celebrated - not mourned. With much gratitude and many thanks to Queensland Ambulance Services, Dr Kerry Gillespie, Dr Shaun Brennan Townsville Cancer Centre, BlueCare Nurses and staff and also the very caring and kind Dr Robyn Brogan and medical staff at Palliative Care. A huge thank you also to relatives and the many friends who have been very supportive and attentive - she did appreciate you all. Thanks also to Ailsa and Judy from Home Care Services who certainly brightened her day. Also recognition must be given to staff of Morleys Funerals for their professionalism and care of Lyn. ~A laugh, a grin, a joke or two - that s the way we ll remember you! ~ Please raise a glass or two while thinking of her - just as she would have wanted!
