MAGUIRE. Helena Sr RSJ Much loved Sister of Saint Joseph who passed away at Mary MacKillop Aged Care, St Vincent s Care Services, Hawthorn East on 23rd March 2019 in her 105th year, and her 84th year as a Sister of St Joseph. Born in Numurkah, daughter of Michael Maguire and Esther Power, Helena was one of seven children. She trained and worked as a mothercraft nurse from 1932 at Broadmeadows before entering the Josephites. Helena taught in schools and ministered in various parishes throughout Victoria, including Leongatha. A skilled artist, she enjoyed painting, spinning and knitting. Helena is remembered for her cheerfulness and positive attitude to life. Sincere thanks to the staff of Mary MacKillop , St Vincent s Care Services , Hawthorn East. May Helena rest in peace.
