It is with tremendous shock and sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Marcus on Saturday evening (13 June 2020) at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He was 51 years of age.
Loving husband to Claire and already devoted dad to their unborn child.
Son of Johannes (Jan) de Rijk (dec) & Anna (Ans) de Rijk (dec).
Brother to Gerard.
Nephew to Margaret (dec) & Nico (dec) Hagen; Ria (dec) & Jos Winthorst.
Cousin to Dick, Riwka & Kelsey Hagen; Arno, Cathy, Sally & Jack Hagen; Remco, Anna, Lucas, Liam & Adam Hagen; Margaret, Wayne, Daniel & Rachel Tierney; Jorg Winthorst; Tim, Mara, Oskar & Henry Jones.
His strength, love and compassion will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
