Passed away peacefully at Quorn Hospital On Wednesday 11 September 2024
Aged 85 years
Much loved father to Sean, Danny and Kerrie
Loved Grandfather of Imogen, Laura, Issac and Lachlan
Bernie was a long serving member of the Woomera community who loved to chat. He has left many warm memories from those who met and worked with him over the past 50 years.
He was devoted to his career as a Defence public servant at Nurrungar, and more recently as a Defence contractor in Emergency Service and Security Officer roles with BAE and Wilson Security.
He was an active volunteer with Lions Club, a JP, member of the Woomera Board,and with the SA Ambulance Service at Roxby Downs.
He was a good friend to many. Over the past 30 years he divided his time between Woomera and Quorn.
His Olive blocks were his sanctuary.
He was a loving and caring father and grandfather.
Privately cremated.
A memorial service will be advised.
