The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
McCORMACK, Kenneth. Dad, I am just lost.Bereft. Time has stood still, the seconds and minutes and hours seem like a lifetime and are heavy with pain. My world was turned upside down in a heartbeat, with a single phone call.I can't believe I'll never hear your voice again; sit across from you at the kitchen table and read; show you what I've done in the garden; share a stubby at the Bowls Club or listen to your standard voice mail message ``Dad rang. Love, bye.''It will be no fun to come home from bowls and have no-one to ring with my match update. Words can't describe how much I miss you already. I love you with all my heart and soul. I'm so proud and happy that you were my Dad. Your loving daughter Tracy.
