Passed away peacefully on 13th July, 2023.
Aged 88 years.
Dearly loved daughter of Harold and Marjorie, beloved sister of Andrew and James, much loved sister in law of Margaret, adored Aunt of Caroline and her husband Andrew, Bill and his wife Kate, Gina and her husband Peter, David and his wife Simone and Robert, as well as cherished Great Aunt of Lachie, Alex, Tom, Ally, Harry and Jack.
As a Doctor and esteemed leader in her field of Radiology, Janet forged an indelible impression, and made significant change, to thousands of people’s lives worldwide with her expertise and ground breaking research. In 1993 Janet was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia for service to medicine, particularly radiology, and the study of congenital abnormalities of the limbs of newborn babies.
A private family funeral service for Janet will be held in accordance with her wishes with a memorial celebration of her extraordinary life to take place at Sydney University Women’s College later in the year.
