The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
McKELVIE. John William. My Darling John. My beautiful husband. I ve always said; 'You are the man in my life For the rest of my life' And that will never change. I am so proud of you. You were more than good enough, You were exceptional. You always worked so hard. Always wanting to please. Asking nothing more in return, But my love. I always have and always will love you honey. Thank you for loving me. Your Angel. Dad. We miss you so much already. But deep down we know you are not truly gone. You ll always live on; In every corny joke we make. Within the pages of the books we read. When we feel pride at a job well done. With all our selfless acts of service. In every lesson taught to others. You will always be there. You will always live on through us. Beloved husband of Angela. Adored father of Melody, Jade, Jasmine, Tyson and Christian. Loved father-in-law of Zac and Dan. Fun-loving grandad of Ethan, Taylor, Coco, Harrison, Phoebe, Spike, Amelie, Wiley, Rocco, Naia and Darius. Rest in peace Dad you loved and you were loved.
