Passed away peacefully

in the presence of his loving family

on August 25, 2023.

Aged 89 years.

Much loved husband of Antonia (deceased).

Treasured father and father-in-law of

Rosa and Charlie Loprete,

Angela and Gino Tedesco,

Lucia and Pasquale Scappatura.

Adored and loving Nonno of

Larry and Kyriaki, Joe and Biljana,

Damian and Teresa, Jessica and Matt,

Rebecca and Joe, Gabriella and Anthony,

Stefania and Tony,

Isabella and John, Michael, Marcella

and Bis-Nonno of

Santino, Alessandro, Cristiano, Massimo,

Esther, Florence, Alessio, Luca, Otis,

Allegra, Aristea, Luna,

Fabian and Baby Maresca.

Beloved son of Domenico

and Maria-Rosa (both deceased).

Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of

Lucia and Carmelo Saraceno,

Concetta and Salvatore Caruso,

Caterina and Vincenzo Giove,

Domenica and Salvatore Scappatura

(all deceased),

Antonio (deceased) and Caterina Meduri.

Loving son-in-law of Salvatore

and Angela Pirrotta (both deceased).

Domenico and Stella Pirrotta.

Joe will be forever loved and

sadly missed by all his nieces, nephews,

relatives and friends in Australia and overseas.

My father kept a garden,

a garden of the heart,

he planted all the good things that gave

our lives the start. His constant good example

always taught us right from wrong.

Markers for our pathway

that will last a lifetime long.

We are our father’s

garden we are his legacy.

In losing him I lost my greatest

blessing and comfort,

for he was always that to me.

Thank you Dad.

Forever loved, forever missed.

They say there is a reason,

they say time will heal,

neither time nor reason will change

the way we feel.

Gone are the days we gather around the table,

but in our hearts you are always there,

the gates of memories will never close.

We will miss you more

than anybody knows,

Though our hearts may be broken,

they are filled with pride

for the man we call our Nonno.

A dedicated family man,

the Catering King and the

Man of the Land on your farm,

you were there for us through

the good and the bad.

You showed us what it meant

to sacrifice for your family,

the value of hard work and your generosity

to others was second to none.

Your upstanding reputation is testament to this,

and it makes us all so

proud to be the bearers of your legacy.

Gone from our sight,

but never from our hearts.
