Mum, over the last few years we had many long chats, some happy, some sad. We often had a laugh about the time you and I went to the Casino with my dad, but on Wednesday as I sat with you and held your hands I could see that you were tired. Our talks were few words, but there is one thing I will never forget, as you were lying there you opened your eyes and said to me "Pen, I will never forget you," tears rolling down my face, you then said, "You won't forget me?" and I said "Oh, Mum, I never will." Friday was even harder, love Penny.
