MERRINGTON, Gary

The Directors, Staff, Coaches and Players of the Western Bulldogs Football Club mourn the passing of Gary Merrington.

The Club recruited Gary in 1966, and he played 174 games in the Red, White and Blue up to his final season in 1975.

Off the field, Gary had an extraordinary impact on the Club, becoming the chief recruiting officer for the Club in the 1980s, responsible for the selection of both Chris Grant and Leon Cameron in one memorable year.

Gary will be forever remembered as an integral part and Life Member of the Bulldogs family who made a lasting contribution to the Club.
