The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
MURCHIE Ross Alexander When the phone rang with news of Ross's departure I stumbled and had to sit down, head spinning. Tears flooded my vision in a way I was completely unprepared for and I realised that Ross had been more than a role model but also a mentor for me. I could always rely on Ross's vision, creativity and uncompromising principles. Someone you could trust, he was smart enough to see all sides of a situation and teach you something of the world at the same time. When he was a director at Meinhardt I was starting university, but he never held that against us. As young architects we loved him and the great genius of his work will continue to rise through the skyline. More importantly he made us. He created an environment where architecture is possible and we blossomed because of him. Our thanks and love go out to his family and to his staff. He leaves a huge hole where he stood, we miss him already - it's only his body we put in the ground. _ Callum Fraser and The Elenberg Fraser Team
