OLIVER, Elizabeth "Jane" (nee Coverdale)

Late of Pittsworth, passed away on 16th July 2020, aged 84 years. Adored Wife of Bill (dec'd). Cherished Mother and Mother-in-law of Mary-Jane and Victor; Stephen and Julie. Beloved Granny of Will and Andy. Loved Sister of Michael and Anthony. Jane fought her battle with cancer with great courage, dignity and grace. She will be sorely missed. She and Bill were familiar faces in and around Toowoomba and districts, having rescued and restored a number of historic houses over the decades. Jane was also a prolific collector of antiques and Australiana and a passionate lover of Australian history. At heart she and Bill were bush people with a real connection with nature and wildlife. In the late 1970's Jane established an angora and cashmere goat stud and was instrumental in the early development of the cashmere industry in Queensland. In latter years she was an intrepid solo traveller through the outback but sadly didn't see all that she wanted. Jane died at home surrounded by her children. Thanks to Dr Gillett and the team at St Andrews and Dr Reid at Pittsworth. Privately laid to rest on 21st July 2020.
