Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Mum/Nainai
Words cannot describe the sadness we are feeling right now. To lose you mum, when we never expected it, has been devastating. All I can remember mum are the good times and the memories of those will not stop falling from my eyes and running down my cheeks. I want you to know that I always loved you and that Jack, Maddy and Josh loved you too; their Nainai. I will never forget what you did for Shane and I during our childhood, making sure we never went without. I know how tough it was for you. I promise you I will look after Shane, your baby boy.
We will never forget the special times spent with you mum.
You will always be alive in my heart. I love you.
Your daughter Michelle, Paul, Jack, Maddy & Josh
