PHILP, Robert 'Bob'
The Port Adelaide Football Club mourns the loss of Life Member
and three time premiership player,
Bob Philp, who passed away on Thursday
26th December.
Robert 'Bob' David Philp came through the Colts at Port Adelaide and made his league debut in 1958, going on to play 133 SANSL games and kick 118 goals. He was a part of Port Adelaide's 1962, 1963 and 1965 premiership winning teams. He also represented SA State Football. In 2019 He was inducted into the Port Adelaide Football Club Hall of Fame.
Bob was Port Adelaide through and through. He was a real character with a great sense of humour and more importantly, a great sense of community.
Our deepest condolences go out to Bob's wife, Viv and rest of the Philp family on behalf of The Port Adelaide Football Club and Community.
