Passed away peacefully, aged 89.
Dearly loved and loving father of Annika.
Adored grandfather (Nagypapa) of Matthew and William.
Beloved husband of Anna (dec. 2020), reunited.
Cherished friend of Spiros, Chaba and Peter.
Proud Hungarian with loving family and friends, here and overseas.
János was a man of honesty, strength and quiet intellect. Born in Hungary, he escaped communist rule in 1958 in search of a better life, which he found in Melbourne, Australia.
Also a proud Australian, János worked hard and lived simply. He was devoted to his family and passionate about soccer, chess and billiards, mastering each with discipline and joy.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Rest in eternal peace, drága Apu.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
