
Simon Townsend: Pioneer of Australian Children's Television
A tribute to Simon Townsend, creator of Wonder World, celebrating his contributions to Australian children’s television and his lasting legacy.
Marjorie Rose Reynolds, born in Brisbane, spent her younger years representing Queensland in Netball, Vigaro and Women's Cricket. She worked for Drug Houses Australia as a payroll clerk. Marjorie married Martin John Reynolds at St Stephens Cathedral Brisbane on 12/11/1955.
Martin and Marjorie owned La Fleur Florist in Cominos Arcade and Cairns Central for 40 years. Marjorie retired at age 87 years of age. Marjorie was president of Cairns Soroptimist and Cairns Ballet and Dance Society for many years.
Marjorie loved animals, sport, music and flowers. She played A grade squash and tennis into her late 50's.
She will be sadly missed by daughters Janelle and Jillanne and granddaughters Nikki, Jade and Dene.
