Died February 1, 2016, Melbourne.
Wife of Basil (1913-2002). Daughter of Albert (1888-1949) and Mary Moores (1887-1962). Sister of May Head (1914-1957) and Wal (1915-1988).
Mother of Julian (b.1943), Jane (b.1946) and Mark (b.1947). Grandmother of Simon, James and Eileen; Rebecca and Edwin Renshaw. Great grandmother of Lewis, Samuel, Marlee, Liam, Claire and Evie; and Harrison Hunt.
Dux of Casino High School, 1928.
Dux of Armidale Teachers College (Uni of New England), 1932.
Teacher at Marrickville, Condobolin and Tamworth.
Married Basil, Singleton, 1940.
Moved to Hobart, 1944. Respected friend of Audrey McFarlane (dec), Marie Sykes (dec), Bob and Jean Menary, Christine and Ken Hiew. Foundation member of the Australian China Friendship Society (Tasmania).
Moved to Flinders, 1994. Respected friend of the Smith family.
Resided at Napier Street Aged Care, 2005. Respected friend of Phyllis Robinson, Bill McCubbery, Lee Hunt, Judith McKenzie, Nourma Harrison, Louise Wright and the residents past and present of Napier Street.
Much loved cousin of Win Collis, Launceston, whose weekly letters were eagerly awaited.
