It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we note the passing of our amazing dad

and husband Gino Anthony Savio, who died at 64, on Thursday July 30th ,

2020. Cancer is a horrible beast. We watched as he slowly unravelled

before our eyes, until the suffering was too great and he passed peacefully

into the morning. Our (super) dry, annoyingly proud, brilliant and silent Dad

will be gone, but we won’t forget the way he cared for us and carried us

through the years. Dad, the tower of strength. The perfectionist who could

fix anything. The only one who could answer the history questions in trivia.

The one who could always make the perfect wry comment. The one who

went out of his way to make sure everyone was ok. We will be lost without

him.

He is survived by his wife Franca, his daughters Danielle and Rachel, his

sons-in-law Kyle and Daniel, his grand-daughter Ella, his siblings Roy,

John, Robert and Rosemary and his in-laws Benita, Giuliano and Sharon.

He joins his parents Mario and Clara, his father-in-law Antonio and his

brother-in-law Pierangelo on the other side.

Forever in our hearts and in our minds. We know Chicago is playing at full

volume wherever you are. We love you to the moon and back.
