SAYERS, John ‘Jack’ Charles Arthur

Born Tynemouth, England on 31st March 1938.

Died on 21st January 2023, aged 84, in Hobart after a long illness.

Dearly loved husband

of Linnette (Toppy).

Loved father of John and Carolyn and father-in-law of Kym and Daniel.

Adored grandfather

of Isabel and Ava.

Son of John and Barbara Sayers (both dec),

brother of Judith (UK)

and Barbara (dec).

A full and productive life

of achievement, Jack

was an innovative Engineer and Manager who worked in the mining and vehicle industries

and on Australia’s aid program in South East Asia and finally as the Assistant Director (Expeditions and Operations) at the Australian Antarctic Division.

Jack was devoted to his family, he was a wonderful photographer, mountain climber

and traveller.

We love him and

will miss him so much.
