SOMMERS, Mary Lynne

Lynne was born in Melbourne as Lynne Mary HURREN and died in Brisbane, aged 79 years,

Life partner of Ian Jacobs (deceased 15/6/2024). Loved daughter of Veronica (nee Barns) and James (Jack) Hurren. Sister of John and Peter Hurren and sister-in-law of Dalma and Robyn Jacobs.

Lynne was a talented musician and singer and with Ian formed bands The Lindy Sommers Movement in the 1970’s and Happy Together.

Lynne was a graduate nurse of the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and in later years helped care for members of her family. Besides her passion for music, Lynne loved animals, nature and treasured privacy in her life.

May she be at peace.

Lynne will be privately cremated followed by a gathering of family and friends held to commemorate and reflect on her unique life.
