Educator, actor, broadcaster, playwright, caricaturist, peerless host, raconteur, champion high jumper and the bowler of some wily leg breaks. A lover of poetry, music, history and a champion of the jury system.
Adored husband of Val Stafford (nee Keast) (dec) for 65 years. Loving son of Clarence (dec) and Dulcie (nee Leslie) (dec) and brother of Leslie (Bae) Gregory (dec) and Wendy (Gargie) Bibby. Loving father of his 7 sons; John, Peter (dec) James, Tom, Tony, Sam and Michael and his beloved daughters in law Verity, Gail, Carmel, Marion, Helen, Rachel, Georgina and Catherine. Adoring and adored Grandfather and Da of 19 grandchildren; Joshua, James, Ben, Sophie, Eliza, Annie, Sam, Cass, Meg, Ellie, Brigid, Joe, Patch, Toby, Ronnie, Maddie, Jack, Jemima and Daisy and their partners. Delighted and devoted Great Grandfather and Da to Mia, Evie, Max, Aubrey, Maeve, Flo and India.
A pilgrim’s life well lived. Together again with his soulmate and guardian angel, Val and their dear Peter. What a reunion that will be.
