It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David George Steel on 18th February 2024, at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. A valiant warrior, David's journey ended after a courageous six-year battle with three different cancers, leaving us far too soon.

David was the heart and soul of our family, deeply loved and adored by his wife Donny, his sons Dylan and Rory (deceased), his daughter Bonnie, and cherished Poppa of Louis, Jules, Olive, Angas, and Grace. A very loved father-in-law to Mark and Jade, brother-in-law to Georgina and the late Pete, and a fond uncle to Jazz. Loved son of Thomas and Margaret (both deceased) and loving brother of James, Archie, Margo, Anne (deceased),

David was a gentle, kind, caring, and loving man, touching the lives of all who knew him. His advocacy for Multiple Myeloma was unparalleled; through his remarkable talent in painting, he raised thousands of dollars for research, dedicating his efforts to donating to Multiple Myeloma research.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Haematology Yellow Team and the dedicated nurses on wards 6E and 7E at RAH for their unwavering support, wonderful care and expertise.

David's legacy will live on not only through his family but also through his significant contributions to cancer research. His spirit, bravery, and kindness will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest peacefully now Darling David.
