Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
The Board and staff of Safe Futures Foundation are immensely saddened by the sudden passing of our Board Chair, colleague, mentor and dear friend.
Doreen dedicated over 50 years of her life to the welfare of others during a distinguished career in the community sector, and moreover as a foster parent and mother. She exemplified community and leadership and lived her values with such passion to tirelessly advocate for society’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged. Doreen was one of the most connected, compassionate, and hardworking community leaders in the City of Manningham for 20 years and leaves a legacy beyond measure.
We at Safe Futures will continue to work for the cause so important to her – for people escaping family violence to live safe and free.
Our love and deep condolences to her treasured family – Maureen, Nick, Roman, Sou, Cath, Asherly, Christopher, Isaiah, Ava, Zoe and Noah.
