The Ocean Grove Cricket Club Committee and Members along with the football club and the wider Ocean Grove community was saddened to hear of the passing of Phil Stringer.

Phil was an absolute superstar sporting great whether it be with a bat or ball at the OGCC or lacing on the footy boots.

Whilst only playing about 75 A grade games Phil took over 200 wickets and made over 1800 runs. He was awarded Club Champion for 5 consecutive years and was one of the first choices to be inducted into the inaugural OGCC Hall of Fame.

He will be missed but never forgotten at OGCC.
