David was born to Louis and Katie Schneiderman on June 10, 1934, in Mile End, London.
He served in the British Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) from 1952 to 1954. In 1956, he married Geraldine Hart, and they had one son, Richard in 1969. The family immigrated to Australia in 1971 and settled in Hebersham, Mount Druitt in 1973.
David was a dedicated member of the Lions Club of Mount Druitt for 45 years. He served in many roles, including president, treasurer, and secretary. He was also a key member of the club's fundraising committee and helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Mount Druitt community.

David is survived by his wife Geraldine and Son Richard.
