My dearest Pat,
I have no words to describe the pain I am feeling at your loss, only heartache and tears. You have been my constant loving companion, and my heart is truly breaking without you. Always an amazing husband, so loving, patient and selfless. Despite your own suffering you never complained and continued to enjoy your life with us. You were the light in our lives and brought love and laughter to us every day. Our children and grandchildren adored you. You have been our inspiration and our guide, our children's role model and wonderful example of a life lived reflecting true Christian values. You embodied the essence of St Mary MacKillop's spirit and could "never see a need without doing something about it". Like her, you always had such strong faith that "God will provide", and God did always provide for us all through you. You will be sorely missed by us all, but I have been truly blessed to have had you as the most loving husband I could have asked for.
Forever in my heart, your loving wife, Maria
To our dearest Dad and Nonno,
Your life was a light that brought joy and laughter everywhere you went. It brought peace and wisdom to every situation. Dad, the light from your torch has gone out and it has shattered our world. But as the tears fade we notice that you have lit lanterns at every corner and we will know which path we must follow. Your path was the path of Christ and you walked it with integrity and humility. Your love for God and witness to your faith moved and transformed many lives, none more than ours. Family was your life. Your loving cup overfilled for your wife and your children. We revered you. Your grandchildren adored you. The sparkle in your eyes is now in theirs, your cheeky wit is on their tongues and our Nonno Pat stories will live on forever. We are but travellers here and your remarkable journey on earth is now complete. We have been blessed to have shared in your life and known your gentle love but now it is time for you to receive our Creator’s heavenly embrace.
See you later Dad, we will never say goodbye.
Love you eternally,
Anthony and Angela, Monique, Keira and Isla
To the most dearly loved, respected and wonderful man I have been so blessed to call my Dad. My heart is completely broken as I face my life without the rock and confidant of our family. Your unwavering faith in God, dedication to Mum, your children and grandchildren, and your fun loving personality has been a constant joy and inspiration to us all of a life well lived. I promise to always try to live in your example and from the bottom of my heart thank you for giving me a wonderful childhood, and constant guidance and support in my adult life. Thank you for the example of true mutual love and respect with Mum, and really living your faith in your day to day life. The last few days have definitely shown the amazing impact you have had on so many lives. I am so proud of you, and extremely fortunate to have had you as my own father. With a very heavy heart, I will miss you forever. Rest now in the peace of Christ.
Ciao carissimo Papà, ti voglio bene assai!
Your son Paul.
Life will never be the same and the void that’s left without you will forever remind us it was our privilege to have you. You were a Christ like figure, oozing with the Josephite and Franciscan values, touching lives with love, humility and faith, your soul shining in the legacy of your servant leadership. You carried your own cross by example never complaining but serving. You were the greatest of fathers to us, a best friend, a pillar of strength and fountain of wisdom who showed the way and instilled hope. The grandson you doted on, who tore our blinds to look out for Nonno will proudly carry your name.
We will forever in our hearts hold gift of your presence in our lives.
You're forever loved and a painfully missed dear Dad/Nonno, party well in heaven. Adrian, Thalia and Pascali .
Our dearest Dad and Nonno. You've left us completely broken. You weren't just our dad but our guide, our mentor, my best friend, my rock, my hero. You were everything to us, the most wonderful Nonno. The most selfless and best man I've ever known. My superhero, aways there to lift me up through every hurdle, challenge and struggle I've had to face over the years, our strength that carried us through. You were the best dad we could have ever possibly asked for me. The world has lost a most precious gem. You always had so much love to give, the comedian that made us all laugh, our practical joker...my heart aches so much but we will take your humility, your deep faith, your wisdom, compassion and unending kindness and generosity to guide us through our life. There will never be enough words to thank you for the beautiful life you gave us. It's been an honour to have had you in our lives. Rest in peace in God's loving arms.
As your much loved St Mary Mackillop said "we are but travellers here"; I'll see you again Papa Pat.
You will live on in our hearts always.
Love you forever, your Annie, Chris, Dominic and Leonardo Patrick xx
To our beautiful Dad, we have no words to express the pain we feel, we just want one last hug and to hear your voice one last time. You were an incredible, unconditionally humble and loving man to all and we were so blessed by God to have had you as our Dad and to have had you guiding us on this journey of life. You are at the final destination now in almighty God's loving arms. Thank you for teaching us to be kind to others, to always see the good in others, to be generous and most of all for teaching us that our faith in God is the most important thing and is what life is all about. You loved us all so unconditionally and all your life you sacrificed to provide a happy life for us children, the memories with you are joyful and endless.
We love you with all our heart. Love always Rachel, Andre and baby Di Matteo
To the greatest man I’ve ever known, my father. The example you have given us has been truly inspiring. It is an absolute privilege to be able to call you dad. The hurt that we’re feeling now that you have left us physically is incredibly difficult to deal with but the memories that you have given us to hold on to makes it that little bit easier. Over these past few years we have developed such a strong friendship, the companionship I needed in my life and I will treasure the relationship that we had and will continue to have all the days of my life. It has been an absolute honour and privilege to have been able help you throughout this year as you have struggled with your health, the memories that we shared will remain with me forever. I will be eternally grateful for the strong relationship you built with Georgia. The special bond that you two shared would melt my heart each day and I know you will be there with us supporting us on our wedding day. I beg of you dad to always talk to me, always be with me and guide me as you have done so my whole life. We love you more than you could ever imagine.
Until we meet again, bello mio.
With all our love and much much more Peter and Georgia.
‘The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few: therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his Harvest’. And so it was that He sent you, Pat Terminello, and for many years you worked hard in the field and gathered a good yield for the Lord.
Pat you were a tireless worker both as a teacher and family member. We were close as brothers and our families were always there for each other, in good times and bad times. I am happy that circumstances brought us to be together in the same house for the last few weeks of your life. Your departure to the Creator was dramatic and painful but it brought to an end your suffering of the past six months. Valet true and faithful servant. Fond and cherished memories will remain with your brother,
Joe and Teresa Terminello
and their children to whom you were a second father figure:
Anna, Donny and Mirella, Josie and Paul, Larry and Teresa, David and Tania and their children.
To our dear brother and uncle Pat,
Our hearts are broken that you have left us so soon. With God’s divine grace you lived everyday with hope and gratitude. A man of character and integrity, you were guided by your values in all that you did. A humble man who found joy in bringing joy to others; thankyou for all the happy times we shared together.
A man of great faith, rest peacefully in Christ’s love. We will miss your quips, hugs and smile. Forever in our hearts,
Frank, and Anna, Jessica, Sarah, Rebecca, Nicholas, Steven, Lily, Max and Jack.
We are left heartbroken that this part of your life’s journey has now ended. You were the showman and entertainer of the family, never short of a word or a joke. Always knowing the right words to bring comfort, support or a laugh.
You touched many hearts with your kind and gentle nature and
love of family and friends. You will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts.
In God’s hands.
Dom, Gianna, Michael, Peter, Laura and Matthew.
Pat, you have been an exemplary brother-in-law and uncle to our children throughout our lives.
We will miss your smile, your jokes and our family celebrations with your renowned speeches.
We will always have fond memories of our precious times together.
Franco and Jenny and all the Chitti families.
Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
