Quincy Jones
Remembering Quincy Jones: the legendary music icon, producer, and philanthropist whose profound influence spanned over seven decades and inspired generations.
Daddy-O, Billy-Goat, Old Goat, My Hero, My Dad.
What can I say? I always thought you were invincible, always thought you would kick on well into your 90's. Never did I think I would lose my Daddy so soon. I still don't want to believe it.
I feel so blessed to have been able to call you my father. You were the first man I ever loved, my protector and my hero.
Such wonderful memories of an amazing childhood full of adventures followed by a unique bond and friendship into my adult years. These I will cherish forever.
You were such a proud father but an even prouder grandfather. Abbie and Joel adored you and loved listening to your many stories of army life, adventures and of family past and present and always came home from a stay at Granddads with huge smiles and many fond stories to tell me.
Life was never dull with you around. Always talking, always bringing a crazy energy into the room and your terrible Dad/Granddad jokes.
You have left a huge hole in our lives but will live on in all of our hearts.
I love you Dad.
Much loved father of Tash, Father in law of Chris, Grandfather of Abbie and Joel, friend of Harley, Tahlia, Ebony, Hannah and Kaiden.
