Susan (Sue) Francis Stumm Valentine (nee Elworthy) born 20 June 1939 Wondai Q; wife of the late Guy Robert Valentine, passed away on Good Friday morning, 2 April 2021 in Warwick Q. The last surviving child of Francis Stumm Elworthy and Doris Entwistle Alford Elworthy (nee Green), Hillcroft, Q. Survived by her sons Guy, Robert and Angus, their partners and grandchildren Sara and Sam. Educated at Hivesville primary and The Glennie School in Toowoomba, trained as a nurse at St Martins, Brisbane. Married at St Johns Cathedral in 1960 and moved briefly to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Returned to Australia and after time in regional Queensland settled in Brisbane (1964), living for many years in Brookfield and worked at the RBH as a phlebotomist. Retired to Warwick in 1997. Widowed in 2019. An active member of the Warwick Bowls Club, Warwick Bridge Club and Probus Club. Devoted daughter, wife, mother and carer and friend of many, Sue will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.
