Passed away peacefully at 100 years & one month.
Much loved and loving daughter of Elsie & Reg Wignall (deceased).
Loving sister of Ellen Wignall (deceased).
Loving and much loved wife of Ian (deceased).
Loving and much loved mother of Richard Wailes & Julie Conquest.
Loving Auntie of Andrew & Tim Wailes.
Loving Godmother to Jane Denehy & loving & much loved relative of all the Denehys & Ridgeways.
A truly extraordinary woman of keen intellect & wonderful humour, she was highly entertaining & interested in everything life had to offer: books, plays, music, art, film,current affairs, gardening, philosophy and so much more...(except football)
We will take solace in all the wonderful music, quotations, notes & phrases she has left behind, many hilarious...(with Noel Coward heavily featured.)
She was a 'one off' & that mould has now certainly been broken.
In the words of Johnny Mercer she would remind us 'to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative, don't mess with Mister in-Between'...Impossible to be bored in her company.
Watch out God,here she comes.
You'd better have some good excuses.
