WAKELIN, Desmond Thomas

After 90 years, Des left quietly on May 27th even though we wish he could have stayed. He leaves behind a loving family and Dawn, his heartbroken and cherished wife of 66 years: but you’ll meet again mum, don't know where, don't know when. But we know you'll meet again some sunny day.

Des was very loved by his children & their partners: Denise & Terry Moore, Glenn & Niki Wakelin, Donna Wakelin, Kathy Anderson & Andrew Snoad (deceased) and his little darlings Jay & Julie (both deceased).

Des is dearly missed by his adored great-granddaughter Crystal Coleman and beloved grandchildren: Felicity, Leon, Marshall & Micaela Moore: Jessica & Maggie Wakelin: Kaspa, Fletcher & Peggy Snoad and Jessica, Kaspa & Peggy’s partners: Brandon, Jes & Cee.

A good son, son-in-law, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend & neighbour. A smart, kind, funny & humble gentleman who loved to travel, read, fish & dig around in his garden. A man who built boats, played chess, followed the news, brewed beer & loved new experiences, football, music and his wife & family. A hard working & generous man who always laughed loud when he told a not-funny joke. Tiddle-Pip Dad – we love you.
