Passed away in Mt Isa on Thursday 8th April aged 75 years. He is survived by his wife Julie and son Shane and their families. Rod is fondly remembered by his siblings, Bernard (Chinchilla), Cecile Prove (Toowoomba), Greg (decd), Howard (Brisbane), and Neil (decd) and their families.

He was privately cremated and his ashes lovingly laid to rest.
