WATSON, Robert Graham
19-Mar-1941 - 07-Jul-2020
Passed away surrounded by family at Bankstown Hospital . The love of Jeanette"s life, his wife of 60 years. Greatest friend, protector and supporter of his daughters; Sally, Kellie, Tracey and Kate. Much loved Granddad of Sam, Tom, Clare, Will and Ben. Our wise mate and mentor. A gentle, generous, kind and compassionate man who taught us how to appreciate life. A pragmatic man of many talents, he modelled decency, hard work and resilience. He shared his time and energy with anyone who needed a hand. He worked his butt off to give us opportunities that he had not had. He had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh at the absurd. He loved his adventures with Mum and we know that he will be there to meet her and take her on their next adventure together. We know that he went first so that he can do the "reccy" missions for their many trips ahead. As dad said to us; "There were still places to go and people to meet". In death as in life, he only got a few words in edgewise with his four daughters and beloved wife. Our request to you. " Hang on to your hat and buckle your seat belt please. Find the music, the light and the laughter as you take the next step in your journey. Please don"t forget to find the best apple turnover to share with Mum. She will be ready for that cup of tea the next time you meet." Some of his last words were " I've had a wonderful life and who could ask for more". We love you as a husband and dad. You will be dearly missed. Graham is being privately cremated at his request as he didn't like a fuss.
