Robert West 1945-2023 Robert Arthur West age 77 made the decision to pass on 2nd July 2023. Uncle Bob is remembered as kind-hearted and generous with a cheeky sense of humour and his beautiful singing voice. "The greatness of a nation and it's moral progress can be judged by the way animals are treated" Ghandi. Uncle Bob cared for all animals and took on many strays that arrived on his property from cats, dogs, goats, and horses. Uncle Bob did not find any value in school and was completely self educated. He had a comprehensive understanding of motors and electronics, with a particular passion for early model classic cars. There are many fond memories discussing cars and diagnosing mechanical problems. He was a patient teacher and willing to guide anyone interested in learning basic maintenance. He played an extremely important role as a substitute father for his niece (Karen) and nephew (Kyle) when their own father abandoned them. He will be sadly missed. Family are holding a private memorial service at his home. Succeeded by his niece Karen Sullivan and cat Buttplug.
